Chasing dreams is never easy. There are always trials and obstacles that have to be overcome and that’s exactly what Mike has done and chooses to do every day. A local Middletown man who served in the Navy and then went on to become a Franklin firefighter. While on duty Mike underwent a tragic accident that caused him to lose his right arm. This altered a lot in Mike’s life but definitely didn’t stop him from excelling. Mike went on to become 2023 Disabled Strongman World Champion. He has now chosen to train for the 2028 Paralympics in throwing the shot put. The Broken Barrel has teamed up with Mike to help make this dream come true! 

We will be having a burger special “The Big Diehl” (two 7oz patties, cheddar & white American cheese, extra bacon, fried onion straws, and a slightly spicy remoulade sauce on a homemade bun) beginning, Wednesday August 27th. For each burger purchase, Broken Barrel will donate a portion to Mike for his training expenses, travel etc. Come grab a delicious burger and support our local small-town buddy chasing one heck of a dream!
